My Philosophy and Approach
My approach to therapy is experiential, relational, and present-focused. I blend a pragmatic, skills-oriented foundation with an emphasis on compassion, integrity, and the active inclusion of both body and mind.
Rather than guiding clients along a predetermined path, I aim to honor and support each person’s unique process. Together, we explore what feels most essential—drawing insight from both past experiences and the present moment. I believe that when we slow down and listen more compassionately to ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us, meaningful change becomes possible.
My work is deeply informed by years of contemplative practice, including Theravada meditation and by integrating mindfulness with connection to the natural world. This path led me to complete the Awake in the Wild teacher training in 2025, where I deepened my integration of mindfulness, experiential awareness, and nature-based practice. Nature remains both a wise teacher and steady companion, offering perspective and a sense of belonging through life’s continual cycles of change.
I earned my BA in Psychology, with double minors in European History and Philosophy, through studies at California State University, Chico and Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. My interdisciplinary background includes coursework in neuroscience, cognition, philosophy, and Eastern European history.
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My clinical experience includes supporting individuals and groups navigating grief and loss, complex PTSD, religious trauma, coercive control, life transitions, shame, and attachment-related challenges.
I bring warmth, compassion, curiosity, and lightheartedness into my work. Outside the therapy room, I have a deep love for the Pacific Ocean, moonlit skies, herbal remedies, cozy fireside conversations, and far-off adventures. I am also deeply committed to social and environmental justice and believe that through genuine connection—with ourselves, one another, and the natural world—we can cultivate greater compassion, balance, and presence in our lives.
These threads of lived experience, study, and practice continue to shape my work and inform the way I walk alongside others with care, creativity, and authenticity.
